HeartKids families will gather for a free Christmas get-together at Bradbury Park in Kedron, where children can play, make new friends and craft something to take home.
Brisbane Christmas in the Park runs on Saturday, 21 November, from 10 a.m. to noon. HeartKids is pitching it as a relaxed pre-Christmas event where heart families can connect and socialise.

Kids get time to play, meet other children and put together a handmade Christmas craft. The organisers haven’t said what the craft will be.
Heart kids and their immediate family pay nothing to attend. They do need to register, though, because the organisers use the numbers to plan the catering. Planning to go? Sign up before the day.

HeartKids has supported families through childhood heart disease for more than 40 years and runs state-based get-togethers for parents and families. In Queensland, the state’s children’s hospital says it supports more than 6,500 children and young people with heart conditions every year. The charity hopes families will come along for a bit of Christmas cheer and time together.
